Peter Brown joined Blight Rayner Architecture in 2019 as an architectural graduate from Bond University. There, Pete worked as a Technical Officer in the Bond University Architecture Workshop gaining experience in prototype assembly and wood machining. Since then, Pete has worked on a wide range of projects as a lead architect including St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School sports precinct in Ascot, Brigidine College, Marian Centre STEM building in Indooroopilly, Mt Ommaney Entertainment and Leisure Precinct, 260 Queen Street Office Tower refurbishment in the Brisbane CBD, and St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School Rowing Facility in Albion. n
However, Pete’s major work at Blight Rayner Architecture has been as a lead architect of the new Glasshouse Theatre at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre throughout its duration. He has been responsible for much of the detailed design and construction drawing of the theatre, and he has been the primary site architect for the project during its construction phase. Pete has been also the principal consultant coordination architect and principal coordination architect between Blight Rayner and our partner practice Snohetta.
Through this highly complex and technically challenging project, Pete has developed a rare set of skills and has gained immense respect of both the client and contractor for his diligence and attention to detail.
Pete was appointed an Associate of Blight Rayner Architecture in 2025.
