John Campbell

BDesign(Arch), MArch (QUT), RAIA

John Campbell is an architect with over 8 years experience at three firms – NRA Collaborative, Ellivo Architects and Elenberg Fraser.

John joined Blight Rayner in 2018 as one of our three most senior architects to manage the design development and documentation of a bespoke but large retail and town centre project on the Gold Coast, and to oversee a private school expansion in Brisbane. His reputation for generating efficiencies, working to budgets and programs, and controlling the outputs of multidisciplinary teams is wide across Brisbane.

John’s most recent role prior to joining us was as Project Architect for the Domain residential tower in Kangaroo Point and for the P.M. mixed-use development in Port Melbourne. His principal reason for joining Blight Rayner is to work on innovative public, commercial and education buildings. John was appointed as one of Blight Rayner’s first three Associates in 2019.

I’m inspired by the evolution of both classical and modern architecture, and interested in the architects who apply an order, then break it cleverly into different forms of abstraction and artistry.
