Charlotte Vergnolle is a Senior Architect who leads Blight Rayner’s Sydney studio.
Charlotte graduated from the National Superior School of Architecture of Versailles in 2010 and previously attended Ensaama School of Applied Arts of Paris. Prior to coming to Australia, Charlotte worked on educational and multi-residential projects in France. She was also involved in research activities at the Research Laboratory of the National Superior School of Architecture of Versailles. This work entailed teaching a master’s degree and organising experiments in high performance concrete with cement producer Vicat.
In Sydney, Charlotte worked with Bates Smart as an architectural designer on a three tower project in North Ryde, and then with Watershed Design on private residential projects. When she joined Make, Charlotte co-led the design team for a luxury retail development in Sydney. She was project leader for 285 George Street won in international competition as part of the Brookfield Place scheme. This project encompassed the refurbishment of two heritage buildings and development of a 6 Star Green Star 27 level office tower, together with a new Wynyard Station transit hall and retail outlets.
Charlotte joined Blight Rayner Architecture in 2022 and now leads our Sydney office. Her recent work has been on a number of key Brisbane projects for our practice including the St Aidan’s Anglican Girls School Sports Precinct at Ambiwerra, St Aidan’s Senior Study Centre, 360 Queen Street and 60 Queen Street commercial towers in the Brisbane CBD, and two projects in the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (Function terraces refurbishment, Lyric Theatre refurbishment), and the Flexible Performance Space in the Glasshouse Theatre.
