I view architecture as the art of crafting experiences through the built environment. I am passionate about designing spaces that balance art, technology, and function, to not only serve their purpose of form but also to engage the senses of those who inhabit them.

Architectural Graduate

 

 

Shirley Zhang graduated with a Master of Architecture from the University of Queensland in 2021. Previously, she graduated with a Bachelor of Environments in Architecture from the University of Melbourne in 2018.

 

During the course of her studies, Shirley has been involved in multiple exhibitions and worked for three years with Hames Sharley Architects in Brisbane. There she gained valuable experience on the Albion Station Precinct Redevelopment comprising retail, education, public and commercial components. Shirley was also involved in Holmview Central Shopping Centre Master Plan in Brisbane, leading to design and documentation involvement on several other suburban shopping centres of Lancini Property Group.

 

Since joining Blight Rayner in 2022, Shirley has been focused on detail documentations for the New Performing Arts Venue at Brisbane’s Queensland Performing Arts Centre and has become a core member of the team for this significant cultural project.
