Brisbane Place at 131 Edward Street in the Brisbane CBD is a significant project due to its position in the historic St Stephen’s Cathedral precinct where its form creates a new vertical marker to the precinct.

 

The project integrates the BCC heritage-listed Stock Exchange Hotel and the State heritage-listed Penola Place building, this to be converted into a boutique 4 star hotel. The project has received extensive architectural publicity for its courageous response to the site and context.
