Marcus Leask

Marcus Leask graduated from The University of Queensland with Master of Architecture degree in 2015.

 

His previous experience, prior to joining Blight Rayner in 2020, was with Hayball Architects, Elenberg Fraser, and Architectus. His projects at Hayball included the 300 apartment Chester & Ellis in Newstead, Indooroopilly State High School 6FC, and other education projects for the Department of Education Queensland. For Elenberg Fraser, they include No. 1 at 203 Brunswick Street Fortitude Valley, and 12 Peak Avenue Main Beach on the Gold Coast, both multi-residential. For Architectus, Marcus worked on the Sunshine Coast University Hospital Facilities Management Centre, and James Cook University Discovery Rise Clinical Practices Building.

 

Marcus has also worked as a Multimedia Designer and was inhouse Revit Skills Workshop Leader at Architectus. He is expert at streamlining digital production, virtual reality (VR) integration, and BIM technology.

To me, it is not contradictory to utilise sophisticated design technologies to create human-centred built-environments, in fact the reverse. Architecture is a balance between art and science.
