Ervin Fontana

Adv Dip Vis Comm

Senior Communications and Graphics Manager

Ervin Fontana began working with Jayson Blight and Michael Rayner over a decade ago at Cox Rayner Architects (now Cox Architecture) prior to joining Blight Rayner in 2023 as our Graphic Design Manager.

Ervin has provided strategic visual advice and solutions across a broad client base (including retail, commercial, education, sport and health) for over 18 years. His core strengths include brand strategy, marketing, graphic presentation and modelling, and he is conversant with all advertising media.

Ervin’s experience with Jayson and Michael over many years has led to a highly interconnected working relationship such that Ervin has a deep understanding of architecture and urban design, often enhancing our designs as they progress.

Among the major projects Ervin has contributed to at our previous practice are the Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville, Cairns Convention Centre Expansion, Cairns Performing Arts Centre, the National Maritime Museum of China, The University of Queensland Oral Health Centre, Fortitude Valley State Secondary College, James Cook University Innovation Centre and Bundaberg Hospital Redevelopment. His workplace experience is also substantial including the Rio Tinto, Charter Hall, Tatts Group and QSuper head offices in Queensland.

Ervin’s personal passions are design, typography and photography, these skills contributing creatively to our architectural and urban design work.
