Maki Robinson graduated in Urban Planning + Landscape in 1997, and in Architecture in 2010.
She worked in Japan for Mitani Architects and Gushiken Architectural Engineering and maintains her registered architect status in Japan.
In Australia, Maki has worked for MODE Design and CK Architects undertaking both urban planning and detailed documentation for law courts, commercial buildings, sports halls and multi-residential projects. She joined Cox Architecture in 2016, working on major urban transportation projects. Maki worked on the detailed design and construction drawings as Project Architect for the Melbourne Skyrail project and was responsible for coordinating stakeholder input, as well as consultants including structural, civil, mechanical and fire engineers.
I equally enjoy macro urban planning and minute design detail - I love exploring how one informs the other - and strive to create places of delightful tactility, stimulated by my experience in Japan.
