Living in a weird house in inner-city Brisbane

Jayson Blight’s inner-city Brisbane home, Aperture House, might be an award-winning example of modern architecture but that was initially lost on his children.

“We’d almost finished the build and they asked ‘why do we have to live in a weird house?’,” laughs wife Melissa.

“I said ‘because you do; because your parents are architects and ­designers’.”
